„aStella Trio“
The aStella Trio is a new, young and ambitious ensemble in the world of chamber music. In our trio, the saxophone replaces the violin - the sound of the alto saxophone gives a completely new shade to the combination of cello and piano. aStella is a pioneer in this field and playfully guides the audience through all facets of classical music.
Since 2019, Margarita Cherenkova has arranged an innovative concert program for this. These include passionate and energetic music by Astor Piazzolla, melancholic and thoughtful melodies by Modest Mussorgsky and, of course, some pieces by George Gershwin. The special thing about aStella is that some arrangements are written by the saxophonist Margarita Cherenkova, as there are almost no original pieces for our line-up.
In the three years since the trio was founded, we have already played concerts in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Essen, Münster and Greven.
